[[Milwaukee Zine Fest]] (MZF) is a celebration of zine culture, DIY creative literary work, small press publishing, and other independent, self-created wonders in a magazine-like format, held annually in Milwaukee, WI. Since 2018, MZF has usually been held in April. Typically held in the spring, MZF is produced by [[The Bindery]] and held in partnership with the Milwaukee Public Library. == History == At 16 years old, MZF considers itself one of the longest-standing zine fests in the American Midwest.<ref>https://www.binderymke.com/milwaukeezinefest#comp-lu4w81a6</ref> == Participation == Registration for Milwaukee Zine Fest occurs annually via a lottery system, with open dates announced on social media and through The Bindery’s mailing list. Interested vendors provide personal details and agree to policies during registration, though not all are selected due to diversity audits and limited spots.
