Gold Rain was founded in 2015 as the stand – alone publishing house of Da Substanz, an artist-run space and gallery based in the city of Querétaro, México. We publish artist books, catalogs, statements, monographs, zines, editorial accidents and other books; in limited or spontaneous editions, mainly printed in risograph and always in close contact with the authors and artists. To date we have twenty publications of local and national artists, titles distributed in Mexico and abroad; participation in national and international events and fairs such as Index Art Book Fair (Mexico City), Trámite Buró de Coleccionistas (Qro), Tiraje Art Book Fair (Qro), I Never Read Art Book Fair (Basel, Switzerland), LA Art Book Fair (Shannon Michael Cane Award 2019) among others. Likewise, our growing interest in the book and its drifts as an artistic medium has led us to create a collection of artist books, fanzines, objects, record and archive in constant growth. In 2024 Gold Rain moves to New York and Columbia, Missouri while still keeping a close contact with Querétaro, México.
