Index is a graphic design studio, printing service and sometimes publishing imprint run by Jonty Valentine and Amy Yalland. We see our design as a way to cultivate our interest in visual thoughtfulness and the material qualities of production. With our RP 3700 risograph stencil printer, we are able to do regular design and print for the art sector, which spans from ongoing gallery work, to working with artists on projects, to printing for art and design students. There are vague plans to expand our methods of printing that we have in our space to involve letterpress or offset, and even further down the line, to hold printing workshops at Index; or to open it up as a creative space for events.
